6/21 - 6/22

  • The seismometer shed has been moved to the back of the Blockhouse with its wheels.



Plywood was cut and placed beneath the shed to make it level.

  • A vent has been attached to the side of the shed for ventilation.


  • A fan will be installed inside.

  • Students from Applied Technology High School visited the Blockhouse. We showcased various different projects that the STEM Student Union has been and continues to work on.

  • Wheels have been attached to each of the shed's four corners.


  • The location for each screw has been centered and marked by pencil.

  • Window has been completed.


  • Old air conditioner was stored in the observatory until further notice.

We are probably going to donate it.


  • Shingles on the Seismometer shed have been curved for aesthetics, and to better protect the frontal area from rain.



  • The bottom threshold of the door has been removed. It will be replaced.

6/7-6/9


  • We installed the new window.

  • We cut out the parts for the window frame.

6/6/16

We went to the Blockhouse and gathered our materials and tools for rebuilding a new window with a frame, where the old air conditioner was placed. The variety of tools that were given for the job includes a screw driver, a bag of nails, a hammer and a mallet and using silicon for holding placement of the position of the frame and the whole window.

We went to the Blockhouse and removed the old air conditioner. Then, we cleaned, primed and painted the area around it.

We went outside to the Blockhouse to test out the Radio Jove antennas and detect the radio waves from the sun.
